Dipl.-Ing. Christian Jansen


Dipl. Ing. Christian Jansen studied Electrotechnology at the Carolo-Wilhelmina Technical University of Brunswick from 2002 to 2007. Having received a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), he spent six months abroad at the Rice University, Houston in 2006. As a Practical Trainee at Intel, he then developed approaches for compensating for dispersive communication channels for multi-gigabit systems and wrote his study paper on the subject of THz dipole antennas at the Federal Physical Technical Institute (PTB). In 2007, he was awarded a scholarship by the Governing Board of TU Brunswick for exceptional study performances and, at the end of the year, began his doctorate as a Scientific Employee in the Terahertz Systems Engineering working group of Prof. Koch at the Institute for High-Frequency Technology at TU Brunswick. In 2009, he followed Prof. Koch to the Philipps University of Marburg and became the Leader of the Terahertz Systems Team there. In January 2009, he received the first prize in the Patent Award 2008 which is endowed with Euro 25,000 and is the future prize of IP Bewertungs AG (IPB).
