Dipl.-Ing. Nikolaus Wagner
Dipl. Ing. Nikolaus Wagner was born in Mannheim in 1975. From 1997 to 2004, he studied Mechanical Engineering with the advanced subject of Production Technology at RWTH Aachen University. Since January 2005, he has worked as a scientific employee at the Institute for Welding Technology and Joining Technology (ISF) at RWTH Aachen University in the Laser Welding Department. After successfully concluding various projects (including the laser / gas-shielded metal-arc hybrid welding of light metals and the laser welding of galvanised sheets fixed with pressure-sensitive adhesive), he is currently working in the Aachen excellence cluster called Integrative production technology for high-wage countries where he is responsible for the thermal joining of plastic-metal components.
