Dr.-Ing. Rudi Velthuis

Dr. Velthuis studied chemical engineering and chemistry at the Eindhoven University of Technology and received December 2001 his master degree. His graduation project about flow behaviour of stitched fabrics was performed at the Institut für Verbundwerkstoffe (IVW) in Kaiserslautern. In February 2002 he entered at the IVW as a scientific assistant under the supervision of Professor Mitschang on the topic induction welding of fiber reinforced polymers on metals. In August 2007 he successfully defended his Ph.D.-thesis and continued working on the field of processing fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites at the IVW. Dr. Velthuis is a member of the VDI.
