Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Schneider

Bernhard Schneider studied Chemistry in Erlangen and obtained his doctorate at the University of Saarland under Prof. Possart. Since 1995, he has been a Scientific Employee at IFAM in the Adhesive Bonding Technology and Surfaces Institute Section. From 1995 to 2005, he dealt with basic research in the field of adhesion, also using simulation methods based on quantum mechanics. In 2002, he completed the training to become a European Adhesive Engineer. Since 2005, he has worked in applied research in the Materials and Construction Methods Division and has concentrated on adhesive-bonded joints subjected to cyclic loads.
